Quality solutions to quality problems
Customer satisfaction is our top priority.
That's why our quality management covers everything: from materials procurement with a receiving inspection right through to ongoing intermediate and final production inspections.
Our quality assurance
Compliance with tolerances is monitored on an ongoing basis during production.
Thickness is continuously measured during strip labelling.
Information on the product and the product batch can be found on the h+s label. This means that the material can be traced right back to the smelting plant. What's more, most strips and formats are also labelled with the thickness and production batch.
Our quality criteria in detail:
Narrow thickness tolerances in accordance with the international T3 standard
The thickness tolerances of h+s precision foils are compliant with the international T3 standard (except for stainless-steel gauge strips with a width of 12.7 mm partially in accordance with EN 9445, as well as raw strips with a width of 600 and 1000 mm in accordance with EN 9445).
The tolerances according to T3 are well below the precision deviations according to EN 10140 and EN 9445. You can find the absolute specifications for the thickness tolerance in this table.
High tensile strengths thanks to optimum material selection
h+s precision gauge strips and precision foils are manufactured in carbon steels 1.1274 (C100S) and 1.2003 (75Cr1), stainless hardened steels 1.4031Mo (X39CrMo14) and 1.4034 (X46Cr13), hard-rolled stainless steels 1.4310 (X10CrNi18-8) and 1.4404 (X3CrNiMo 18-10-2), and brass 2.0321 (CuZn37). These materials are also suitable for springs and tools. You can find the specifications for the tensile strength or hardness in this table.
